I wanted to have my own race, as other people around here.
Thus, I create D'Ribian people.

. General notes
D'Rib is a fantasy/sci-fi new race as elves, halfings, vampires and other usual races already existing. Thus, D'Ribians don't have a own planet, but they are memeber of a new race that fits with a fantasy or sci-fi world.
D'Ribian people are desinged after birds.

. Physical features
- D'Ribians always have a tail that fits with the bird they are designed after (for example, a D'Ribian desinged after eagle has an egle tail as well a female D'Ribian desinged after peacock cannot have the rounded typical tale of a peafowl).
- D'Ribians always have wings that that fit with the bird they are designed after. Their wings (as well as their tail) are visibile only when they need or want them and have made of bones, meat and feathers as real bird's wings. When a D'Ribian needs to use his wings, they simply came out from their back: it's not something of painful, but something of natural for them.
- D'Ribians' hair can include plumage, but it's not a must: they can also have simply hair as humans
- Four fingers (3 fingers+thumb) in each hand/foot - fingers are not bigger than the usual ones: D'Ribians simply have four fingers instead of five. They can also have palmated hands/feet only *IF* they are desinged after a bird with palmated claws.
- D'Ribians have little rounded ears (not as human ones, just simple round).
- Their skin is mainly as the human one, but it can be of any color and it can (not must) include feathers here and there.
- Agility is a natural gift of D'Rib race members, for example they can do extraordinary jumps without the use of wings.
- Every D'Ribian has at least one piercing. They got their piercing after few years from their birth. It's something that is part of their culture and another feature that distinguishes them from other races.

. Notes about D'Ribian life
D'Ribians are immune from any kind of illiness. Only mortal wounds or age (they can live around 500 years) can kill them.
They become adult 80 years after their birth. Once reached such age, D'Ribian face a holy ritual were they must choice the own path in life.
During the whole lenght of their life (not before 20 years old), D'Ribians can decide how to look like (young, adult or old). Usually they choose to look like adult people for the whole life, but they can also change the own appearance many times in life (the process requires a lot of energy, thus is not usual among D'Ribians).

. About culture
The general culture of D'Rib race is up to you just because it's a race that "interacts" with the other races (humans, elves, etc.) in a fantasy or sci-fi world.
You can decide the history, the gods, the life style, everything.
There are only a few sticky points that you MUST not forget:
- the piercing thing (see Physical features part)
- the 80 years old ritual (see my notes about D'Ribian life)
- D'Ribians worship the nature in general. This means, for example, you can create gods for them but nature must be the base of their religion, huh?

. About names
Considering the features of D'Rib race, you can create a name for your character as you wish. But in the name you create, you MUST include the bird-race your character is desined after. You can use it as nick, as surname or including it in the name itself.

. To create your own D'Ribian
It's kinda simple.
I do not put a limit to the number of D'Ribian characters you want to create. You can choose to have only a few D'Ribians or to create your own D'Ribian comunity inside your own world. For this reason, more than one person can desing the own D'Ribian character after the same bird (of course it must NOT be identical).
This is what you have to do:
- you must keep in mind all the previous notes I wrote
- you have to pick a bird you like and desing your D'Ribian character after it
- you must mail or note me to let me see your D'Ribian character so that I can approve the desing
- remember to credit me for the D'Rib race. It's my creation, thus this is a MUST, huh?
